15th April 2008
Dear
Parents/Carers
This half term we will be covering work under the
theme The Jungle. As part of this work, Sams Safari will be visiting us on
Tuesday 29th April to bring in a variety of animals, which are
native to these areas of the world, including snakes, leaf insects, tortoises,
rodents and marsupials. This is a fantastic opportunity for the children to
closely observe, and in some cases handle, animals from environments very
different to those in this country.
Sams Safari regularly take
animals into schools and know and understand their animals thoroughly. None of
their animals are dangerous or poisonous, however, some have fur coats so if
your child has asthma or an allergy to fur it is recommended that they only
look at those animals.
Could you please complete the slip below and return to
school, along with a £1 contribution towards the costs, by Friday 25th
April.
We all look forward to this exciting experience which
will provide valuable learning opportunities for all concerned! If you have any
further questions please dont hesitate to contact us for further information.
Yours
sincerely
Mrs Dennis / Miss Lloyd
